About Eat Vermont
Celebrating the People, Craft, and Culture of Vermont.
The story behind our independent food media network, our commitment to small businesses, and where we are heading next.

The Origin Story
Built on the backroads, not in a marketing firm.
Eat Vermont did not begin in a marketing firm. It was built on the backroads of our state, born from a deep-seated respect for the line cooks, farmers, cheese makers, and hospitality staff who define Vermont's cultural identity.
Founded by Senator Rocket, the platform was established on a simple core principle: local culture deserves world-class distribution. In an online landscape dominated by global corporate algorithms, independent regional businesses are easily overlooked. We built Eat Vermont to serve as an independent media, storytelling, and technology pipeline that ensures our state's best makers get the attention, foot traffic, and sustained economic support they need to thrive.
Local culture deserves world-class distribution.
Broader Commitments
A Holistic Approach to Community Building.
For Rocket, celebrating local food is just the first step in a larger, interconnected effort to strengthen Vermont communities from the ground up. Long-term regional resilience requires a thriving small-business economy, sustainable local agriculture, and accessible infrastructure that allows citizens to coordinate and solve local town issues together. Whether he is advocating on the Senate floor, working on production with Farmhouse Chocolates, or developing new communication tools designed to help neighbors connect directly with local leadership, the objective remains exactly the same: ensuring Vermont remains the most connected, supportive, and self-reliant state in the nation.
