
Vermont Shepherd is a family-owned and operated 250-acre sheep farm in Westminster West, Vermont, and is one of the oldest sheep dairies in the country. They raise 300-700 sheep, milk a flock of 250, and make a variety of aged and fresh cheeses and dairy products. The farm utilizes intensive rotational grazing to promote health, sustainability, and environmental benefits. Vermont Shepherd has won conservation awards for its farming work. The farm store offers a variety of products including yarn, soap, shirts, maple syrup, and various cheeses. The cheese cave at the farm provides ideal conditions for cheese ripening, housing over 20,000 lbs of artisanal cheeses annually.
